Site Plan:
New concrete roadway in spiral design alludes to the spinning saws of early Edmonds shingle mills, the propeller wash of the nearby ferries, the dynamic mechanized modern world. Central fountain element includes bronze gazebo, water feature, precast concrete balustrade ring. Pedestrian areas have embedded bronze cedar needle graphics. This project replaces a sculpture and fountain from the 1970’s which succumbed to a car crash in 1998.
