The Smith-Martin/Apache Station pavement art consists of a serpentine line of 24 mosaic disks.  Most mosaics have one or more text medallions.  The ASU Names medallions are installed as a group in one mosaic disk.  These medallions show the progression of the school’s name and mission starting in Territorial times.
